Fleischer Theater

This is an early sound cartoon from 1929, called "Finding His Voice". It was directed by Max Fleischer (and a man named F. Lyle Goldman), and it tries to sell us on the idea of using sound in movies. There are lots of scientific explanations of the mechanics of sound (both magnetic and optical) and many typical Fleischer-type gags that make it digestible for the layman. Be sure to watch it all the way through, the ending is a killer!
